Shift 1 (9:00 PM to 2:30 AM)
1. Arrive at Center prior
to 9:00 PM unless called by Coordinator or Greeter
2. Greet and register late-arriving
guests. Take temperatures at the door (See Volunteer
Guidelines)
Monitor
door to allow entrance of guests and Shift 2 volunteers
Make
Welcome sheet available, read it if necessary. Highlight weapon, alcohol,
smoking.
Have
guests sign in on Registration Sheet
3. Provide cot and bedding
set from storage area
Retrieve
labelled bedding if returning guest
Label
bedding set package if first time visitor
4. Maintain separate
male/female areas
5. Maintain adherence to
guidelines.
6. Log any important
details about the evening (guests leaving early, disagreements, etc.) on Log
Sheet
7. Coffee maker, cups and
supplies are available in tote. (Church of God provides their own.)
8. If at The Landing and a
medical situation arises that is not an emergency (suspected frost bite for
example), we have been told we can approach an EMT at the fire station to come
over.
9. Do not hesitate to call
911 for emergency medical issues or disturbances. Notify Coordinator.
10. Share any pertinent
information with Shift 2 volunteers when they arrive.
