Vernon Township provides fire and EMS protection to McCordsville, Fortville and the unincorporated area of the township.

About Us:

Vernon Township Fire and EMS is a full-service department that responds from two stations (Fortville and McCordsville) to emergency medical incidents, automobile crashes, structure fires, hazardous materials releases, technical rescue incidents and public assistance calls. The services we provide extend beyond emergency response and include public education and fire/injury prevention via community events, building inspections, plan review, media campaigns, and business/school visits.
